There are two different types of information that we collect in online questionnaires:
– opinion and behavioural data: that is, your answers to the main questions. These answers do not uniquely identify you and can be retained indefinitely
– your personal data: including name, phone numbers, IP address, and email address. We capture these for two main reasons: so we can tell who has answered the survey (and send a reminder email to those who haven’t) and secondly to send participants a thank-you reward, either as a prize or as survey ‘points’ for those on a panel.
Until the close of the survey we hold all personal and opinion/behavioural data together on the survey platform. Soon after the survey closes we delete the personal data. This usually happens when all the rewards/prizes have been claimed, and always within 30 days of the survey closing.
