Sense Consultants Statement on the Modern Slavery Act

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our modern slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 30 September 2021.

Sense Consultants’ slavery and human trafficking statement is in accordance with Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. Although our business does not have a global turnover of over £36m a year – thus we are not legally required to publish a slavery and human trafficking statement each financial year – we believe that this issue is fundamental to all our human rights and values, so we feel it is important for us to issue a statement on our website.
Sense Consultants Ltd is committed to ensuring that all our employees, workers and contractors are treated fairly, and that their human rights are respected.
We are a consumer insight agency and strive to work to the highest professional standards and comply with all laws and regulations relevant to our business. We operate in the market research and marketing consultancy sectors – as such, our supply chain for our main business operation is relatively straightforward and we believe that the nature of our work, our supply chains and their industries to be low risk in terms of modern slavery and human trafficking. However, we are still vigilant and carefully vet the partner agencies we work with, to ensure they have similarly high standards.
Since we founded the company in 2002 in Clapham, we have been very conscious of the work of the Clapham Sect and their campaigning in the 18th and 19th Century to instigate the abolition of slavery. As a company we subscribe to their moral and spiritual values and support Anti-Slavery charities at both a local and International level.
Within our company, all staff are required to comply with our anti slavery policy, and we have a zero-tolerance approach to non-compliance. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships, and as we have a very hands-on relationship with our suppliers, we are vigilant to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or any of our supply chains.
We have issued this statement and training to all our staff to make them cognisant of this issue and to better recognise the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chain.
